Are people really completely honest when they're drunk?

Is it true that drunken words are sober thoughts? I'm asking because 3 other family members and i are the only ones out of my family that don't drink and after having alot of challenges with the people in my family that do drink i can't help but wonder if they actually mean what they say and do when they're drunk..since they're literally drunk 99.3 percent of the time i see them.
